Pembrokeshire may be small, but it has plenty of history to offer, with no fewer than 12 castles to visit! The nearest (and, in our opinion, the finest) is Pembroke Castle, just a short drive from Rosemarket. There is plenty to explore here, and you can see a map of Wales laid out in the court yard - best viewed from the rapparts of course. There are plenty of events on here over the school Easter holidays, including Panic circus, a dragon day, falconry, and knight school.
BBC’s popular Easter Springwatch programme on March 25th will be broadcast from the Stackpole Estate, near Tenby. Key spring highlights include swathes of daffodils, bluebells and wild garlic. Soon a host of seabirds, including razorbills, guillemots and gannets, will arrive at Stackpole’s stunning cliffs, where they can be seen fishing. Further inland reed and sedge warblers may be seen at the Castlemartin Corse, and otters have been spotted at sunrise at Bosherton Lakes. Th
