Terms & Conditions of  Booking

Terms

All terms given are normally per seven days (normally Friday – Friday) unless otherwise agreed ie short breaks, fill ins etc. The usual time for occupancy is 3.00 pm and departure time normally 10.00 am (unless otherwise agreed at time of booking)

Booking Confirmation

A binding contract between us will come into existence once we confirm receipt of you Booking Form and deposit or at time of taking payment via Debit or Credit Card on Late Bookings. The contract shall be deemed to have been made at our offices in Rosemarket and be subject to British Law. We both agree to submit any dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England & Wales. In all cases these conditions of Hire form the basis of your contract.

Number in your Party

It is a condition of your booking that the number in your party shall not exceed the number of people indicated at the time of booking and at no time shall the total number in your party exceed the number capacity of the property as advertised on The Church View Holiday Cottages & Shepherd Hut Web-site. Any additional people wishing to stop will be charged on a pro rata basis for their period of stay. Babies under the age of 2 are not normally counted as a member of your party.

Booking Monies

At time of booking you must pay the 50% no-returnable deposit which is part payment towards the cost of your holiday. Final payment / balance of payment is due six weeks prior to the commencement date of your holiday. Any bookings made within 6 week of your holiday start, full payment will be required at the time of booking. All prices given are cash prices only, ie payment by Cash or Cheque, where you chose to pay by Credit Card we may make a charge of 1.5% in respect of each payment made, this will be at the discretion of the management. There will be no charge for payments made by Debit Card.

Cancellation by You

Please telephone immediately if you have to cancel your holiday, on the same day please either e-mail or send by first class post confirmation of the cancellation.

If you cancel you will still be liable for the balance of rent money. We will endeavour to re-let your holiday. If we are able to re-let then you will only lose your booking deposit. We advise all people taking a booking to take their own independent holiday insurance to cover the event of cancellation or any other eventuality.

Covid19 and Pandemic Policy

This Policy (March 2021) can change without any prior notice as we are working within the guidelines of National and Local Government Policy and Law. Currently I.e over the last 12 months we have all had too endure the constraints imposed upon us due to the COVID19 pandemic virus and therefore have to take responsibility for decisions  we now make. The current policy of a non refundable 50% deposit if cancellation is made applies to all situations that evolve under the ongoing COVID19 issues. 

In order to adhere to current pandemic guidelines all communal facilities will remain closed at the managements discretion. On day of departure from your accommodation please ensure the beds used are striped and bedding and towels are bagged separately as per the instructions left in the cottages

During your stay no visitors other than those formally booked in to the accommodation may visit your accommodation or site.

Linen & Towels

Bed linen is provided (this may be duvets or blankets & sheets), towels are provided for Cottage use only. Additional towels are available to that supplied at an additional cost.  There will be no blankets provided for the child cot where the cot has been requested. All bed linen and towels to be bagged prior to departure of cottage

Damage to Property

The hirer shall also be liable to Church View Estates for any damage caused in person by guests in or around the property during the period of hire. Church View Estates have the right to enter any accommodation (without prior notice if this is not practical or possible) if special circumstance or emergencies arise (eg if repairs need to be carried out, utility wastage etc).

Your Pet

A charge will be made of £ 30.00 per pet per week or part thereof for each animal, assistance dogs will be accepted free of charge. You must inform us at time of booking if you are bringing your pet. You must bring your pet basket as pets are only allowed on the clear understanding that under no circumstance may they lie on the cottage bedding provided or on the chairs or settees. Pets must not be left unattended in Cottages at any time, a kennel fee of £ 28.00/ day will be charges if dogs are found to be unattended. Dogs should be kept on a leash at all times when within the Estates boundaries.

Animal feed bowls are not supplied, in the interests of hygiene kitchen bowls and containers are not to be used for pet use. All dog faeces are to be cleaned up immediately, additional charges will be made for the cleaning of dog faeces from the grounds or waste bins where necessary. NB a Dog Loo has been provided it is positioned between The Lodge Cabin and the oil tanks

Your Vehicles

Your vehicles and their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. Church View Estates will not be responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever other than, in the case of the owners, the negligence of him or his employees or agents. Guests are asked to park orderly to maximise the car parking numbers, please park within the marked lines

Liability

Except where otherwise specified in these Conditions of hire Church View Estates Owners and Managers cannot accept liability for any damage, expense. Injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) from any case other than in the case of the Owners / Managers, the proven negligence of himself / or employees or agents.

This does not attempt to exclude negligence or breach of statutory duty.

Shortcomings

You must notify any shortcomings with your cottage to the Management or his representative immediately so that remedial action if appropriate can be taken.

Personal Holiday Insurance

You are strongly advised to take Personal Holiday Insurance for your Holiday.

Children

All children are to be under parental supervision at all times, this will include times when they are using the Play Ateas.

Guest Behaviour

ALL guests are reminded that they have a responsibility to ensure that they do not affect/disturb the privacy of other guests and neighbours local to the Cottage Complex. If continued disturbance / bad behaviour is encountered by any individual or group, they will be asked to vacate the Cottage they have rented with immediate effect, no refunds will be offered.

House Rules

A separate list of house rules is provided in each cottage, these also form the basis of the Booking Conditions

  • On day of departure please vacate X Cottage/Shepherd Hut by 10.00 am

  • Please ensure that all waste and recycle bin rubbish are taken out to the external bin area. ( All rubbish and recycling in Large Sulu Bin)

  • Ensure that X Cottage/Shepherd Hut is left in a clean and tidy condition

  • Empty dishwasher

  • Put all pots, pans, cutlery and crockery etc back in the cupboards that they came from

  • Ensure that you have taken all your belongings with you at time of departure. ( a fee of £ 25.00 / item will be charged if returned by post)

  • Leave door unlocked and key left inside cottage  (Not in external Mailbox).

  • Pet Owners :  Keep pets off furniture

                                   Do not use Cottage Crockery as food or water bowls foryour pets use.

                                   Please ensure all pet poo is picked up and put in the dog loo (Dog Loo is situated between The Lodge and the oil                                                  tanks) or the General Waste Bin.

                                   Dogs to be kept on leads externally at all times

                                   Dogs are to be left in cottage by themselves. (A kennel fee will apply £ 28.00/day)

  • Internet Usage: The internet connection is monitored remotely for all forms of internet abuse or downloading of criminal, abusive, pornographic or racist material.  Details are automatically passed onto the Authorities.
